New Spanish certificate programs implemented next semester
Troy University will begin two new Spanish certificate programs in the fall of 2026. The Spanish Language Foundations Certificate is a 12-credit program designed for those with no prior Spanish knowledge to gain real-world communication skills. Citizens peek behind the curtain with TPD
Pike County residents got a behind-the-scenes look at local law enforcement during week one of the Troy Police Department’s (TPD) first-ever citizens’ police academy. Track starts outdoor season
Troy’s track and field team went to Tallahassee, Florida, on Thursday and Friday to compete in the Terry Long FSU Relays. The Trojans showed out during the meet, earning numerous top-three finishes and a few personal bests along the way. First, going over the podium finishes, the Trojans brought in many first-place finishes throughout the meet. The United Football League kicked off its spring football season last weekend. Among the eight-team league are three former Troy Trojans: Brandon Silvers, Mike Rivers and Jabre Barber. Brandon Silvers, a former quarterback for Troy, enters his third season with the St. Louis Battlehawks.
