Thomas Gleaton is a Copy Editor for the Tropolitan, but he has also written for both Sports and Art & Entertainment.
Gleaton is actively involved in the Troy University Guitar Ensemble and Ilium Records, the music department's student-run record company. In the Spring 2013 semester, he served as Business and Legal Affairs for POPulus, the American Pop Music Ensemble.
When he graduates, Gleaton wants to work in media business, anywhere from Artist Relations to Sports Radio.

Joshua Thurston is the webmaster for the Tropolitan Media Group, managing the website, TropNews.com. Thurston is a senior business management of information systems major with a minor in journalism.
Thurston is from Samson, and is a graduate of Samson High School where he served as editor-in-chief of the student newspaper.
In addition to working for the Tropolitan, Thurston is the Interim Technology Coordinator for the Geneva County Board of Education. He also does freelance photo work for Troy Athletics.
After graduation, Thurston plans to further his career to eventually become the CIO or CTO of a major company.
Steve Stewart is faculty adviser to tropnews.com, The Tropolitan and The Cardinal Rule, as well as The Palladium yearbook. As assistant professor of multimedia journalism at Troy University, he teaches classes in reporting, writing, editing and interviewing.
Stewart is a former managing editor of The Decatur Daily, editor and publisher of The Monroe Journal in Monroeville, and reporter for The Atlanta Constitution. In Monroeville he started one of Alabama’s first community newspaper websites, and in Decatur he helped start decaturdaily.com.
He earned journalism degrees from the University of Georgia and the University of Alabama. He was editor of UGA’s student newspaper, The Red and Black. He taught part time at the University of Alabama and the University of North Alabama before coming to Troy.
His research interests include journalism history and technology-related changes in journalism.
His wife, Patrice, is a freelance feature writer. They have two adult children.
