Nominations for the Troy Trojan Heart are now open and anyone can enter a Troy student, faculty or staff member to be considered for the award. The Troy Trojan Heart award is meant to recognize those who do good deeds simply because they believe it is right to do. Anyone can find the nomination form in their Trojan email or Troy’s website. Nominations are due April 5 and a winner will be announced in May.

Softball wins six of last eight

Hanna Cooper Staff Writer The Troy softball team wrapped up its last weekend of tournaments before entering conference play this past weekend.  The Trojans finished the weekend 4-1 with their only loss coming from No. 13 South Carolina.  Troy’s offense recorded 22 hits to take a pair of wins Friday afternoon at Eddie C. Hoopcoming praises charity, crowns king

Amanda Delgado Staff Writer Freshman Forum’s annual Hoopcoming encouraged donations to charity by raising money for a “Hoopcoming King,” crowned at the homecoming basketball game on Feb. 28. Students voted for Hoopcoming King by donating money to certain candidates, and the winner would decide a philanthropy to donate the money to. Scott Shelton Staff Writer The Troy baseball team clinched a series win against Southeastern Louisiana at Riddle-Pace Field last weekend before falling to No. 21 Tennessee on Tuesday night in the Hoover Classic.
