Football wraps after Spring game 

by Logan Pittman Troy football wrapped up its second spring training under Head Coach Jon Sumrall this past Saturday with its annual T-Day game. The game consisted of four, fifteen-minute quarters with a running clock and a five-minute halftime. T-Day concluded with a score of 36-22 with White defeating Black.   Before the game, T-Day started with a youth camp hosted by the Trojan coaches. There were over 250 kids that participated. Troy loses to James Madison

by Rylee Bamberger In a battle of bats, the James Madison Dukes fought off the rallying Troy Trojans to win the weekend series. In a matchup that saw 44 total hits, 38 runs and 13 home runs, the Trojans came up just short, losing 10-7 last Sunday. True freshman KK Mathis provided the main spark for the Dukes’ offense. Baseball takes series at Louisiana

by Caleb Thomas Despite the rough weather in Lafayette, Louisiana, the Troy baseball team took two out of three games from the Louisiana Ragin Cajuns over the weekend to inch closer to the top of the Sun Belt Conference standings. The Trojans took Friday’s series opener against the 25-12 Ragin Cajuns, who started the series tied for first place in Sun Belt standings. Softball wins series over Coastal 

by Taylor Fraze Troy softball competed in a series against Coastal Carolina this past weekend. The Trojans claimed the series 2-1 with both wins coming Thursday in the doubleheader.  The first game resulted in a 9-0 victory; however, the second game was much closer with the Trojans closing out the game late 8-7. The final game of the series was played Friday, but this game resulted in a 4-0 loss for Troy.  With these wins, the Trojans improved to 28-10-1 on the season with a 9-2-1 conference mark. Trojans fall in last game against Red Wolves

by Logan Pittman Troy traveled this past week to Arkansas, where the team would play a three-game series against conference opponent Arkansas State; however, Troy played host to Alabama at home before they could fill the buses.  Against Alabama, Troy started out slow on the defensive and offensive end.
