Troy loses to Southern Miss

This was the first time these two schools met as conference foes since this is USM’s first season in the Sun Belt.  Troy entered the series with a record of 19-7 and 3-3 in conference play. Lewis walks-off Golden Eagles

Their troubles began just before Troy’s campus let out for spring break when Florida Gulf Coast traveled to Troy for a midweek tilt. Record setting season

by Caleb Thomas After a weekend sweep of South Carolina Upstate, the Troy baseball team extended its season opening win streak to 11 games.  Over the weekend, the Trojans dominated the Spartans in all facets of the game, both pitching and hitting – it all started with pitcher Brady Fuller’s Friday night performance.  In Troy’s 5-2 series-opening win, Fuller went 5.2 innings with only one unearned run given up and five hits surrendered.
