Williams and Phillips lead Trojans to victory

by Taylor Fraze Behind late-game heroics from Nelson Phillips, the Troy men’s basketball team captured victories over South Alabama and Louisiana last week. Over the weekend, Zay Williams set a new program record for most games played by any Trojan.Phillips and Williams combined for 73 of Troy’s 141 total points over the last two games, most notably each having a 20-point game against Louisiana on Saturday.  Williams also set the Troy program record for most career games played with 131 in the match against the Ragin’ Cajuns.  Troy claimed a…

The Trojans only had two players in double digits in Saturday’s matchup against the Jaguars. Christyon Eugene ended the game with 17 points, 15 scored in the second half.
