The men and women placed sixth and eighth overall in their respective fields at the Choccolocco Sports Complex. The women tallied 208 points during the day, coming up a couple of points shy of seventh place, while the men tallied 160 points. Cross country takes second at USA’s Azalea City Classic

Jalen Thomas Contributor The Troy Men’s and Women’s cross-country teams both placed second at the Azalea City Classic on Friday in Mobile.   The men’s team tallied 42 points during the meet, placing them behind South Alabama, the host and winner, while the women’s teams collected 44 points, placing them behind the Jags as well.  The eight-kilometer race was won by senior Brackin Stewart with a time of 26:32.9. Scott Shelton Staff Writer The Troy men’s cross-country team concluded the 2017 season with a 21st place finish at the NCAA South Regionals, hosted by the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa on Friday. The Trojans struggled against Division I opponents. Troy’s Brackin Stewart led the team in the 10k with a 73rd place finish and a time of 32:53.5.
