Hanna Cooper Staff Writer The Troy volleyball team traveled to the Carolinas to take on Coastal Carolina and Appalachian State. On Friday night, Troy lost in just three sets to the defending conference champions, the Chanticleers.  In the opening set, Troy opened up with a 7-3 lead, but the Chanticleers were able to tie the game at 7 with a four-point swing. Hanna Cooper Staff Writer The Troy volleyball team’s win streak came to an end this weekend after two tough losses to the two Texas Sun Belt schools.  On Friday night, Troy took on the UTA Mavericks in the Trojan Arena. The Mavericks defeated Troy in three sets and end some notable Troy stat streaks. The first set remained tight until the Mavericks went on a 10-point streak, giving them a 19-13 advantage. Troy (8-11, 2-4 Sun Belt) picked up its first pair of conference wins over the weekend, winning both games 3-1. Troy started slow in the opening set, falling behind 10-3.
