Wes Fortson Staff Writer   The Trojans took on the ULM Warhawks, a team known for its productive offense over the past few years, and lost 22-20 on Saturday, Sept. 27. Redshirt freshman quarterback Brandon Silvers got the start after recovering from a concussion against Abilene Christian a few weeks ago. Silvers completed 23 of 34 passing attempts for a total gain of 270 passing yards with three passing touchdowns. The Trojans went on to turn it around and finish that season 8-5, beating the Rice Owls 41-17 in the New Orleans Bowl.
