DKE suspended for fall semester

Pradyot Sharma Editor-in-Chief The Troy University chapter of Delta Kappa Epsilon (DKE) has been suspended for the remainder of the semester following an investigation into hazing allegations.  DKE is the second fraternity to be suspended this semester after Troy’s Sigma Chi chapter was suspended last month.  Herbert Reeves, the dean of Student Services, said that the investigation took some time because the university was waiting on the national office of the fraternity to send a representative for the investigation into the allegations. Troy alum heads mission against ISIS leader

Pradyot Sharma Editor-in-Chief The commander of the Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC), the division that carried out the raid that killed the ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, is a Troy University alumnus.   Lt. Gen. Scott Howell, the commander of JSOC, earned a Master of Science in management from Troy in 1992.  According to the U.S. Air Force’s website, Howell is a command pilot with 2,600 hours of flight time.
