The Troy women’s golf team wrapped up its regular season schedule with a sixth-place finish out of 15 teams in the Brickyard Collegiate hosted by Mercer on Sunday.

The Trojans took to the road April 8 and notched their fourth tournament of the regular season with a top-six finish or better. Troy’s final score of 314-293-306 landed the team in front of a few notable opponents, including North Florida and No. 40 LSU.

Vanderbilt claimed the tournament victory as the only team to finish under 300 in all three rounds.

Troy’s Bianca Lohbauer finished in a tie for eighth place after shooting a total of 7-over par. Her team-best score of 76 in the first round helped keep Troy competitive despite a slow start.

After putting up a 72 scorecard in round two, Lohbauer shot a 4-over par in the final round, which landed her in the top 10 for the second straight tournament.

Antonia Poate and Eva Fabricius-Bjerre both struggled in round one, but they clinched two spots in the top 40 with total scores of 228 and 230, respectively.

Poate’s tie for 28th place was fueled by the 73 she shot in round two followed by a 5-over par finish in round three.

Fabricius-Bjerre shot two straight rounds at 76 to give her to a tie for 34th place.

Sarah Harrison followed with a 4-over par in the second round to help her rise through the rankings for a tie for 55th place. With a score of 82-76-78, Sarah Harrison finished 20-over par.

Only four players had a worse opening round than Lindsey Harrison on day one, but the junior locked in and was the only Trojan besides Lohbauer to shoot an even par in round two. Her score of 7-over in the final round brought her overall score to 22-over par and a tie for 64th place.

Abby Parks finished in 78th place, rounding out the Trojans in the individual leaderboards. Her three-day total came out to 261 with a spread of 87-90-84.

Troy will take the green again on April 15 for the Sun Belt Conference Championship in Miramar Beach, Florida. That tournament will last three days.
