Hosted by Troy University’s Spectrum Alliance, Second Chance Prom gives college students an opportunity to improve upon their high school memories.
“If you didn’t like your prom, or you never experienced prom, or maybe you weren’t allowed to bring your date because they are of the same gender,” Jana Wieser, a international relations graduate student from Bremen, Germany, and president of the Spectrum Alliance, said of reasons why students might be interested in attending.
“Everyone is welcome!” Weiser said. “If old or young, Troy student, or faculty member. You can come by yourself, or bring a date, or bring your friends.”
The event theme will be “Fairy Land,” but there is no dress code, just a suggestion to “wear whatever you feel most comfortable in.”
The prom will be held tomorrow night at 7:30 p.m. at the Arboretum. Pre-sale tickets can be bought in front of TC for $1, or at the door for $2.
“We just want to offer everyone the chance to experience prom and have a great time among friends,” Weiser said.
