Women’s basketball steaks its claim

Wally Pendergrass Staff Writer The Troy women’s basketball team grabbed a pair of wins this past week and a nice steak dinner, courtesy of John Hartwell, Troy’s athletic director. Hartwell announced on his Twitter account Thursday, Feb. 12, that he would provide a steak dinner to any team that defeated rival South Alabama. Wally Pendergrass Staff Writer The Troy women’s basketball team hit triple digits for the first time this season in a win over Appalachian State, after losing earlier in the week to Arkansas State. The Trojans faced the second place Red Wolves in Jonesboro, Arkansas, on Thursday, Feb. 5, where they were unable to overcome a first half 20-2 run.
