Blakeney reaches 100th home field win against Georgia State

Michael Shipma Staff Writer Head coach Larry Blakeney achieved his 100th victory at Veterans Memorial Stadium on Saturday, Nov. 8, as the Troy football team defeated Georgia State 45-21. The Trojans (2-8, 2-4 Sun Belt) never trailed in the game, and were able to dominate a Georgia State team that has also been struggling this season. Troy football signs 13 new players for 2014

Jill Odom Sports Editor   Head coach Larry Blakeney announced the signing of 13 new student-athletes to Troy’s 2014 football recruiting class on Wednesday, Feb. 5. The signees will join the six mid-season additions to the team. The Trojans signed a total of 10 offensive players and nine defensive players. The athletes came from a variety of 10 states, with seven coming from Alabama and others coming from states such as Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina.
