Michael Shipma Sports Editor The Troy men’s tennis team rallied to defeat Georgia Southern before falling to top-seeded Georgia State last weekend in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament in Peachtree, Georgia. The Trojans wrapped up a 13-win season on Saturday after falling 4-0 to the Panthers in the quarterfinals. Michael Shipma Staff Writer The Troy men’s golf team struggled at the Mason Rudolph Championship in Franklin, Tennessee, over the weekend, dropping to 13th place out of 15 teams which included three top-10 teams. This competition marked the final regular season tournament for the Trojans, who now look forward to the four-day Sun Belt Conference Championship in Sandestin, Florida. Michael Shipma Sports Editor Troy faced seven pitchers and scored 10 seventh-inning runs to come out on top in a wild, 29-run game at Jacksonville State on Wednesday night. The Trojans’ 16-13 win marked the first time they have scored 10 runs in an innings since 2010, as well as the most total runs in a game since last season’s 16-9 victory over Hofstra.
