Troy’s women’s golf team wins the Sun Belt Conference Championship

Gabe Sadetsky Staff Writer   The Troy women’s golf team won the 2014 Sun Belt Conference Championship, the first in the school’s Division I history, last Wednesday, April 16, at the Steelwood Country Club in Loxley. The victory has given the Trojans an automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament, which begins May 8, and will take place in one of three regional locations. Wally Pendergrass Staff Writer   The track and field team finished up its schedule leading to the Sun Belt Conference Championships this past weekend at the Samford Multi and Invitational. Several Trojans posted solid results and broke into the conference standings for certain events. Three Trojans found their way into the conference standings based on their results from the weekend.
