The game saw the men of Troy have one of their best defensive performances of the season, only to have it haunted with 20 team turnovers. Troy’s leading scorer, senior forward Tevin Calhoun, fouled out with over seven minutes left in the second half and ended the day with 16 points. Women’s basketball defeats UALR for the first time in program history

Gabe Sadetsky Staff Writer Troy women’s basketball downed the Trojans of Arkansas-Little Rock at home this past Wednesday, Feb. 26, 86-77. The win gave Troy its first victory over UALR in program history, due in part to an 80-plus-point performance against the Sun Belt’s best defensive team. Senior guard Joanna Harden led the team in scoring yet again, reaching 33 points while shooting 23-of-26 from the free-throw line. Gabe Sadetsky Staff Writer Troy men’s basketball fell to Louisiana-Lafayette on the road in a key Sun Belt matchup, 78-63, this past Thursday, Feb. 20, and lost to rival South Alabama as well on Saturday, Feb. 22. The Ragin’ Cajuns were led by senior guard Bryant Mbamalu with his 21-point performance and four steals.
