The Sun Belt Conference released Troy football’s 2025 schedule last week, including an early-season Saturday Battle for the Belt matchup against South Alabama.
Nicholls, Clemson, Memphis and Buffalo will face off against the Trojans in non-conference play – the Trojans travel to Clemson and Buffalo.
In 2025, the Trojans open Sun Belt play against the school from Mobile, Alabama. Troy hasn’t opened conference play against South Alabama since 2015 but will have a bye week preceding the rivalry game.
Troy will follow the home game against the Jaguars with two road matchups against Texas State and ULM, returning home to play Louisiana on Oct. 25. For their homecoming game, the Trojans play host to Arkansas State on Nov. 1.
Following another bye week, Troy travels to Norfolk, Virginia, to play Old Dominion in the only midweek game on the schedule. The Trojans will play their first ever game against the Monarchs, who joined the Sun Belt in 2022.
After playing host to Georgia State on Nov. 22, Troy will end the regular season on the road against Southern Miss. It will be the third straight season that Troy caps off the regular season against the Golden Eagles.
The Sun Belt Conference Championship will be held on Dec. 6 at a host school, which is decided by conference record.
The Trojans will look to carry momentum over from 2024, where they finished the season winning three out of their last four games. Although Troy had a 4-8 record, the team returns many starters.
Head coach Gerad Parker and his staff brought in the best recruiting class in the conference over the off season and reeled in six Power Four transfers.
Troy kicks the season off at Veterans Memorial Stadium against Nicholls on Aug. 30.
