Troy University Police have arrested three people accused of breaking into vehicles and stealing property from cars on and off campus.
Mason Calvin Faircloth, Raelynn Danielle Hornsby and Domonick Jo’von Pennington, all of Troy, have been charged with breaking and entering of a motor vehicle and theft of property second degree.
In a press release, Troy University Police George Beaudry said officers responded to a call around 12 p.m. Tuesday regarding a vehicle break-in on Fraternity Row. Using the new license plate readers placed around campus, officers were able to identify suspects, and worked with the City of Troy police department to obtain two search warrants for Troy residences.
“The searches produced several confirmed stolen items to include firearms and sound equipment,” Beaudry said. “Additional items suspected of being stolen were also seized for follow-up investigation.”
Authorities said there is also evidence that multiple vehicles were broken into, on and off campus, between Monday night and Tuesday morning.
Anyone who suspects their vehicle may have been targeted can contact Sgt. Allen Reeves at 334-372-8136.
