Troy completes two days of competition at the Crimson Tide Invitational in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, where the Trojans finished with nine top 10 finishes.

The Trojans squared off against tough SEC competition from Alabama and Mississippi State while previewing familiar Sun Belt Conference foes Louisiana, Southern Miss, Arkansas State and more. Other schools like Connecticut, Indiana and Southeast Missouri made the trek south to compete.

Cadi Rowe finished third in the women’s 5,000-meter with a personal best time of 16:47.58.

Keith Warner ran a huge personal best of 14:33.82 on the men’s side to secure seventh in the men’s 5,000 meter.

Joy Edward snagged two top 10 finishes in both the women’s hammer throws and shot put with marks of 52.55m and 14.65m. She finished fifth in the hammer throw and sixth in the shot put.

Meanwhile, Abby Grosinske finished 10th in the hammer throw with a mark of 49.77, while Tayjo Oppong finished sixth in the men’s discus with a mark of 50.56m.

The quartet of Tydreke Thomas, Evan Brown, Keylan Hicks and Michael Eady snagged third in the men’s 4x100 with a season’s best time of 40.28.

In the men’s 100m, Thomas finished seventh with a time of 10.46. Eady was close behind in 11th place with a time of 10.56.

Kady Schwietz took the other top-10 finish, slotting in at seventh in the long jump. Her mark of 5.7m was enough to beat conference opponents from ULM, Arkansas State and Southern Miss.

The Trojans are back in action next weekend at the Georgia Tech Invitational from Friday, Apr. 18, to Saturday, Apr. 19, in Atlanta. Troy has the Penn Relays and the Sun Belt Championships looming on the horizon at the end of April and beginning of May.
