“Today was a very good day,” said Mark Davis, director of Troy’s track and field and cross country program. “We made a long trip hoping for results and in most cases, we got them.”
“Edita Sklenska is having a great year,” Davis said. “She currently has the number one time in the Sun Belt and the 14th-best time nationally in the 800m and is a part of our 4x400 that has the number one time in the conference.”
Troy swept the high jump with freshman Maja Kuessner (1.73m) winning on the women’s side and Titus Sizemore (2.09m) taking gold in the men’s competition. Jade Johnson posted a personal best in the triple jump to earn silver with a mark of 12.22m.
