This summer edition of the Tropolitan is a guide for students — especially those entering Troy University and participating in IMPACT summer orientation.
Journalism students who worked on this project as writers and editors include Emily Beckstrom, Emily Paige Blodgett, Jessie Cocking, Kianna Collins, Hannah Crews, Davis Gamble, Hunter Hansen, Hannah Hartline, Jacob Holmes, Jayde Jacobs, Kiara McClellan, Caitlin McRae, Jane Morrell, Morgan Phillips, Will Reinert, Chase Robinson, Lewin Schmitt, Tamela Staples, Kimberly Steele, Ngoc Vo, AnneCarol Wilson and Tyler Wooley.

The special edition was part of their work during the spring in the advanced reporting and advanced editing journalism classes taught by Steve Stewart.
During the fall and spring semesters, students publish the Tropolitan every Thursday as an extracurricular activity, not connected with any class. They also publish online at TropNews.com.
You need not be a journalism major to work on the Trop or the Palladium, the university yearbook.
Newcomers are welcome, and scholarships are available to those who become active writers, editors, ad sellers and business managers.
