Neal Brown inks his first signing class

Jill Odom Sports Editor   Troy football added 17 new Trojan student-athletes on Signing Day, Wednesday, Feb. 4. Five players enrolled in the spring semester, making a total signing class of 22 athletes for head coach Neal Brown’s first season. “I thought our staff did a tremendous job with only about six weeks to work and a big chunk of that coming during a dead period,” Brown said. Neal Brown announced as new head football coach

Jill Odom Sports Editor   Neal Brown, former Kentucky offensive coordinator, was formally announced as the new head football coach for the Troy Trojans on Monday, Dec. 1. Brown is familiar with Troy as he served from 2006 to 2009 and was the youngest offensive coordinator in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) at the age of 25 during the last two years, under now retired head coach Larry Blakeney. During his time with the Trojans, the team won four consecutive Sun Belt Conference championships and traveled to three bowl games.…
