by Taylor Fraze The Troy men’s basketball team’s campaign for a championship screeched to a halt after a loss to James Madison in the Sun Belt Tournament Quarterfinals. Troy won its first matchup in dramatic fashion over Arkansas State in round two of the tournament and had optimism heading into the quarterfinals. Eugene led the Trojans in scoring this past week with 17 points against ULM and 19 points against Coastal Carolina. In the game against Coastal Carolina, Spudd set a career high with five made 3-pointers in the game. These performances helped Troy clinch the fifth seed in the conference tournament. He was on fire from range, knocking down five 3-pointers with two of them coming in the final minutes of the game.
