Her performances this week contributed to the team’s overall results.  Baker has always shined throughout her career at Troy. The 2021 season was her best season for pitching statistics. In a matchup that saw 44 total hits, 38 runs and 13 home runs, the Trojans came up just short, losing 10-7 last Sunday. True freshman KK Mathis provided the main spark for the Dukes’ offense. by Taylor Fraze Troy softball competed in a series against Coastal Carolina this past weekend. The Trojans claimed the series 2-1 with both wins coming Thursday in the doubleheader.  The first game resulted in a 9-0 victory; however, the second game was much closer with the Trojans closing out the game late 8-7. The final game of the series was played Friday, but this game resulted in a 4-0 loss for Troy.  With these wins, the Trojans improved to 28-10-1 on the season with a 9-2-1 conference mark.
