Scott McLendon Staff Writer The final two home games of the 2016 season resulted in a loss and a win for the Troy soccer team as it lost 0-2 to Coastal Carolina and defeated Texas State 2-1. The Trojans (7-7-3, 3-3-2 Sun Belt) surrendered an early lead to Coastal Carolina and never bounced back. Freshman midfielder Kiersten Edlund bagged her first collegiate goal in the seventh minute when the South Alabama defense failed to clear a ball that fell to the Florida native. Both games added to Troy’s current four-game double-overtime streak, and its sixth overtime game in its past seven contests. At Georgia State (4-3-5, 1-1-3 Sun Belt), the Trojans outshot their hosts 16-5 and racked up nine corners.
