Troy wins Dollar General Bowl, 10th game of season

For the first time in the program’s FBS history, Troy (6-2 Sun Belt) won ten games, beating Ohio (8-6, 6-2 MAC) 28-23 in the Dollar General Bowl. International Troy student dead after fatal crash

Holly Ammons Photo Editor A three-vehicle crash on Thursday, Dec. 15 has claimed the life of one Troy University student and hospitalized three other students. Florida Highway Patrol reports indicate that a 2012 PT Cruiser, failed to stop at a traffic light at the intersection of State Road 79 and State Road 20 in Ebro, Florida. Bowl bound: Troy football to play in Dollar General Bowl

The Trojans received and accepted an invitation to play in the Dollar General Bowl against Ohio University in Ladd-Peebles Stadium. It is the first time that Troy (9-3, 6-2 Sun Belt) has made a bowl appearance since 2010, when it defeated the Bobcats 48-21 in the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl.
