For the first time in the program’s FBS history, Troy (6-2 Sun Belt) won ten games, beating Ohio (8-6, 6-2 MAC) 28-23 in the Dollar General Bowl. International Troy student dead after fatal crash

Holly Ammons Photo Editor A three-vehicle crash on Thursday, Dec. 15 has claimed the life of one Troy University student and hospitalized three other students. Florida Highway Patrol reports indicate that a 2012 PT Cruiser, failed to stop at a traffic light at the intersection of State Road 79 and State Road 20 in Ebro, Florida. The Trojans received and accepted an invitation to play in the Dollar General Bowl against Ohio University in Ladd-Peebles Stadium.
