Pradyot Sharma Section Editor The tornado that touched down in Troy Sunday left several structural damages, including three overturned mobile homes, according to Herbert Reeves, the interim director for the Pike County Emergency Management Agency and dean of student services at Troy.  According to Reeves, the structural damage spans areas including Hunters Mountain where mobile homes and some outbuildings are damaged, Murphree and College streets where trees have fallen over houses, and U.S. Highway 231 where electric poles were damaged.  Reeves said they are still in the process of assessing…

How to help with the tornado relief effort

Pradyot Sharma Section Editor The city of Troy and the University Athletics department are partnering with Troy alumnus Demarcus Ware, a former NFL defensive end, to help with tornado relief efforts. Sarah Mountain Contributor  Last month, the Student Government Association (SGA) at Troy University proposed an amendment to the Housing Visitation Policy with regards to overnight guests in Rushing Hall. While it was voted down by an overwhelming majority at the SGA meeting, many students are probably wondering why it failed and remain frustrated with what they believe to be outdated policies.
