Fraternities deal with COVID-19

All fraternity activities have been suspended until after Labor Day, and the Delta Chi fraternity house was temporarily closed last week for sanitation after fraternity members tested positive for COVID-19—including at least 14 Delta Chi members – according to a university statement. Administrators update student leaders on COVID-19

Emma Daniel Editor-In-Chief Administration met with student leaders from all over campus Tuesday night to discuss the status of COVID-19 at the university and hear student concerns, showing a hands-on coronavirus task force willing to work with students and understand issues.   The university is hovering around 80 to 85 cases per week, but the number of new cases and recoveries fluctuates daily, according to Dr. Lance Tatum, senior vice chancellor for academic affairs and the head of the coronavirus task force. “No students have been hospitalized,” Tatum said, also…

Tierra McCall  Staff Writer   The International Arts Center (IAC) on Troy’s campus boasts an expressive collection from various artists year-round.   The center, which is open Monday through Sunday, offers free admission and guided tours when requested.  While the permanent exhibits are spectacular, the rotating exhibits are a must-see.  The latest installment is an exhibit, Mors Eloquentiae, by Duane Paxson, a local artist and an art and design adjunct professor.
