Tanner Colvin Sports Writer Men’s tennis is on a winning hot streak with the team’s ninth straight victory over Southern Miss. This was Troy’s seventh away win on the season, improving the Trojans’ record to 15-1.   Troy started off strong with two points from Nicolas Simkin and Christopher Tasker’s doubles victory along with Carles Anton and Amer Bedwan winning their match giving Troy the early lead.  Troy won all but one match in singles.  Anton and Simkin both won their matches and secured important points for the Trojans. Troy finishes strong at Spring Break Shootout

Kennedy Roy Sports Editor The Troy women’s golf team posted the second-lowest tally of Tuesday’s final round at the Spring Break Shootout.  As a team, the Trojans moved up into 5th place while Shaelee Scarberry moved up to a tie for 4th.  The Trojans ended the tournament with 38 birdies collectively along with carding 11 birdies.  Scarberry individually shot 1-over par and Elizabeth Preus shot even par on the day. Wesley Kircharr Sports Writer The Troy football team is making big strides into its next campaign as it announced key hires and began its spring practice.  Head Coach Chip Lindsey announced earlier this week Dayne Brown would be promoted and the Trojans would welcome a new face to the staff, Caleb Ross. Brown has been with the Trojans since the 2019 season where he has served as the director of recruiting. Softball sweeps UT Arlington

Hanna Cooper Editor-In-Chief For just the second time in program history, and the first time in Arlington, Texas, the Troy softball team swept UT Arlington during the opening weekend of conference play.  Leanna Johnson surpassed the 500 career strikeouts milestone en route to a shutout win over UT Arlington, 5-0, before Troy utilized timely offensive bursts to down the Mavericks and take the series, 4-1, Saturday at Allan Saxe Field.  Needing seven strikeouts to top the 500 mark, Johnson fanned 10 Mavericks to become the second Trojan in program history…

Trojans set to take on no. 2 seed Texas A&M

This will be the fourth appearance in the tournament for Troy and the third time the Trojans have made the tourney with Head Coach Chanda Rigby. This Monday, the Trojans drew to play the Number 2 seed Texas A&M in the NCAA Tournament. The Trojans received the Number 15 seed in the Mercado Region.  This comes after the women took victory over the Ragin’ Cajuns in the Sun Belt Championship game last Monday. …
