Wesley Kircharr Staff Writer The Troy men’s golf team traveled to Tallahassee over the weekend, bringing home a 10th-place finish from the two-day Seminole Intercollegiate. The host, Florida State, took the top spot after Sunday’s final round of play, narrowly edging second-place Jacksonville after a 287-270-287 performance. The Trojans carded a 299-298-299 performance, good enough to top four teams in the 14-team tournament. Of the 16 teams in play, Florida, Vanderbilt, Mississippi State and Arkansas highlighted the invitational as some of the nation’s top talent, with Vanderbilt edging the hosting Gators for the top spot. Dylan Hurst Staff Writer The Troy men’s golf team shot 12-over in two rounds of play at the Steelwood Invitational to finish ninth out of a field of 12 teams. The overall score for Troy at the end of the tournament was a 39-over par at 903. The Trojans performed solid, despite finishing near the end of the field. The Trojans travelled to College Grove, Tennessee, to the Middle Tennessee-hosted tournament which took place from Sunday to Tuesday.
