Michael Shipma Sports Editor The Troy women’s golf team started in 13th place but climbed a few spots to finish 10th at the Hennsler Financial Intercollegiate on Tuesday. The three-round tournament, hosted by Kennesaw State, featured 12 top-100 teams, including the No. 91 Trojans. They were led by Fátima Cano, whose strong second round propelled her into a tie for fourth in the individual standings. Scott Watkins Staff Writer The Troy softball team traveled to the East Coast last weekend to take on the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers, losing the road series before dropping a tough game on the road against South Alabama. In their first meeting since 2014, Coastal Carolina swept Troy three games to zero. All three games were decided by one run each, beginning with a 4-3 loss on Saturday.
