Emma Daniel Editor-in-chief Two people are dead and three others injured after a shooting at the Pike County Cattlemen’s Complex around 2 a.m. Saturday, according to Troy Police. Police officers were dispatched to help disperse a large crowd, but while they were on the way, shots were fired, according to a police statement issued Saturday morning. University holds press conference on Homecoming gun shots

Troy University held a press conference at 2 p.m. today concerning gun shots heard around midnight on campus. The conference followed up a statement released by the University this morning. “Gunshots were fired outside of Sartain Hall at the Troy Campus, after midnight on Sunday, Oct. 16,” the statement said. “There were no injuries reported.
