A third suspect has been arrested in connection with the Panama City Beach sexual battery case.

George Davon Kennedy, a Middle Tennessee State University student, was identified by the Bay County Sheriff’s Office as being involved in the case and a warrant for his arrest was issued. The suspect was arrested Tuesday night.

According to a press release sent by the BCSO, investigators found that Kennedy had family in DeKalb county, Georgia and with the assistance of the DeKalb County Sheriff’s office, Kennedy was arrested and charged with principal to sexual battery by multiple perpetrators.

The case came into investigation after a video surfaced that “depicts several individuals sexually battering a female that appears to be incapacitated,” according to the BCSO.

Two Troy students were also arrested and charged with sexual assault by multiple perpetrators last Thursday.

22-year-old Delonte’ Martistee from Bainbridge, Georgia and 23-year-old Ryan Austin Calhoun from Mobile have been temporarily suspended from the university pending completion of the criminal investigation. Martistee has also been suspended from the men’s track team.

Calhoun has been released from the Bay County jail after posting a $50,000 bond. Martistee is still being held in custody.

More information regarding the case will be available in tomorrow’s issue of the Tropolitan and at tropnews.com later in the night.
