Troy announces new women’s soccer coach

Jill Odom Sports Editor   Troy named their new women’s soccer head coach, Jason Hamilton, on Monday, Jan. 27, after previous head coach Chris Bentley accepted a position with Colorado State the past week. Bentley was head coach for Troy for six seasons and the team posted the best six season winning span in program history. Hamilton spent the past season as an assistant coach with the Florida Gators and focused on training goalkeepers and defense. Project 19’s Kailani Decock returns to campus cancer-free

(PHOTO/April Irvin)   Amy Austin Staff Writer   “Let’s do this!” was senior midfielder Kailani Decock’s reaction to finding out she had stage 3 Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Kailani Decock is a student-athlete for the Troy University soccer team. Last summer after spring training, though, her life was flipped upside down. In June of 2013, Decock was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma, which is cancer of the lymph nodes.
